…but what does AB mean?

Have you ever seen a description of a crystal and it says something along the lines of ‘crystal ab’ or ‘fuchsia ab’ and wonder what that means? AB simply means it has a special coating over the stones to make it cast additional colors. See the chart below for and example of Crystal vs. Crystal AB.
